Dayten Hanson (Retired)

Dayten Hanson primarily practices in the areas of bankruptcy, insolvency, and delinquent taxes. He received his Juris Doctor from the University of Wisconsin – Madison in 1985. Attorney Hanson was selected each year from 2008-2021 as a Super Lawyer in the field of bankruptcy and creditors’ rights by his peers and the Super Lawyers organization and was included in the 2010-2021 editions of the Best Lawyers in America.

Attorney Hanson has served on the board of directors of the Bankruptcy, Insolvency, and Creditors’ Rights section of the Wisconsin State Bar. He is a former adjunct professor at Marquette University Law School and is a frequent lecturer on the subjects of bankruptcy and the discharge of taxes through bankruptcy.

Dayten Hanson has represented numerous banks, credit unions, insurance companies, bonding companies, and title insurance companies in a wide array of legal proceedings. He has represented thousands of commercial and consumer debtors and creditors in diverse legal issues ranging from simple Chapter 7 bankruptcies to complex commercial litigation.
